Full circle

And  so it seems it's  been a little over a year since  I've last posted, and ironically I seem to have picked up right where  I left off.

The  sad truth  is  that  I been  rather busy or another  way  of looking at that is I got  kind of  lazy.

Well starting  with  this  post  I plan to change that,  as  I will try and  post a little more regularly.

So until next time enjoy!

Coffee Cup

I really dig this new travel  mug I bought.  The fact that  I can swap out the image for something new when ever I want is worth it  weight in gold to me.

Random sketch post

On a  positive note, I  started student teaching last Wednesday at Wilson Middle School.Week one has already blown bye and  I'm  looking forward to start of a new week.

But add to  that my son Ethan, preparing work for my senior show, and working at Fort Niagara my free time has been non existent.

For now or least until I have more free time I will be posting about once  a week (usually on Sunday) and the post will consist mostly of random sketches.

So it's been a while.....

Regrettably I've  fallen rather  behind  on  my blog  updates.  This being one of my goals for 2012 it  looks  like  I'm off to rather bad  start.

The above image is a part of a project  completed  for  my Basic Cartooning  class.  For  the  project  we where  required to write  character treatments  and then  design  a protagonist  and  an antagonist based on the  treatment.  George Giant (the antagonist) is depicted bullying  his  younger  brother Little  Giant (the  protagonist) for no other reason then Little is -well abnormally little (at least for a  giant  anyways).

Human Nature

Some one (it may have  even been me)  made the comment that this is what Elmo would like if he shaved off all his red fur.

Toronto

Just recently I had the chance to visit Toronto, Canada on trip sponsored by the Daemen College art club. While there I got to see a lot of fantastic art, and may have stopped at a book store or two. For anyone who is ever in the Toronto area and seriously into illustration and or animation the labyrinth is well worth a visit.

Old concept sketchs.

The above images represent the concept work for my sculpture III class at Daemen College. All three pieces are currently in various stages of production. The third images is actually only one out of the three that I've had the time to finished.

As it just so happens Sculpture III was my second piece in the undergrad show, so as promised I'll be posting pictures of the finished piece in the near future.

In addition, I have some more exciting news, my sculpture was selected to be featured at the Daemen College Academic Festival happening on April 20th form 8 am-4 pm. My little naked man sculpture will be featured on the t-shirt available at the event.

~Art Club~ Chair Auction

The Daemen College Art Club recently held a fundraiser to help collect money for our up coming trip to Toronto. The basic idea for the event was to collect unwanted chairs, turn them in to works of, and then auction them off. The above images are my contribution to the event.

I had a tone of fun designing and making my chair, and I hope everyone enjoys the results as much as I do. * If anyone's wondering the chair was created using collage paper.
